Is there decent cell phone coverage in Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire? If so, what are the major providers?

Thanks!

Ok... I'm not sure about Chippewa Falls specifically but I know Alltell is popular in the Eau Claire area. I have T-Mobile and have had decent signal in Eau Claire. You could look at the coverage maps on the websites for Cingular, Verizon and Sprint--those would be (I'm guessing) the other most common/popular providers for this areas. There are probably other smaller companies that I'm not aware of that have good coverage in this area but if you travel a lot they probably wouldn't be the best for you. CellOne might have coverage there, and Midwest Wireless might, also. Those are smaller companies that I know of in this area, but I'm not sure if they're in the Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire area.

Default Thanks!

Thanks, Angel! I have looked at the coverage maps on the various websites and it looks kind of mottled in that area. That's why I thought someone from the area would know more!

I live in an area like that now...near Atlanta. And there are pockets, here and there, half a mile square, that are 'dead zones'. I don't want to live in one of those again!

Default Cell phone coverage/Chippewa Falls

I have had a Cellular One plan for several years. Other than a very few dead zones, I have been very satisfied. Cell One seems to have better coverage north of Chippewa Falls than some of the bigger, national carriers.

Alltel is the only thing that worked when we were in Chippewa. Nextel is a huge dead zone.
Eau Claire, your free to use anyone.
