I too was contacted by a "Greg Harrison" from Kearny Executive Search. I went on their website, which "looks" legit but try calling the phone number listed. It's DISCONNECTED. Unh hunh. And who contacts you several times via email for a job? Wouldn't they just pick up the phone and call?
There's nothing posted about the company, their partnerships. And who posts on their website "recent career placememts." Who does that??
Last week they sent me an email indicating they wanted me to send them my resume. I didn't. Then they sent me another email this morning indicating that I made it through the selection process?? Ummm I did? How so?
I just got an email too! At first I was excited, but then I started thinking and trying to remember what job I applied for that they were contacting me about. I find it odd to get an email at 6am on a holiday. In a nutshell, here is what the email says:
"This is Greg Harrison and I am the hiring manager for the Talent Coordinator positions. I received your information from one of our employment partners and I just wanted to send a quick note introducing myself.
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back in touch with you regarding your interest in the Talent Coordinator open positions in Atlanta. We had an overwhelming response to our previous hiring campaign. At this point, we are still looking to fill the remaining Talent Coordinator open positions.
For your review, I have attached a copy of the Talent Coordinator position description to this email as a PDF file. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I will be reaching out to you within the next 3-5 days with further details.
I thank you sincerely for your interest.
Thank You."
I clicked the link to the website and there is no real information on there. I tried searching on LinkdIn... nothing... then I did a google search and found this. Glad I did because now I'm extremely apprehensive. I'm pretty certain that if I was receiving any interest from an employer they would call, not email.
They sent me the same thing!!! I refuse to pay $ for a study guide. Big indication its a scam.
I've never received a phone call from anyone at this scammy place.
The website is fake and the corporate phone number is disconnected. They send unsolicited emails saying they got your info from one of their associate agencies. They ask for your resume, to fill out a questionnaire and take a skills test. They do not reply to your emails. The web administrator phone number rings at a Canadian trucking company. I got emails from a Mike Whithers saying he was the hiring manager.
Same happened to me. Took the test without buying the book. I then got an email that they don't have my test results...I emailed "Mike Withers" and never got a reply. I called the phone number and the number is not in service.
I too was contacted by a "Greg Harrison" from Kearny Executive Search.
Harrison, NJ is a town just south of Kearney, NJ. Might just be a coincidence, but, watch out for "Bob Newark", "Steve Lyndhurst", and "Rick Jersey City" :-)
Here is the Email I received from these jerk offs!!!!!!
