While I do agree with some of what he is saying in principal (although there's no proof that its all true) he's still coming off as a real a - hole. If I got an email like that, I'd be looking for new opportunities ASAP.
That said - I do find it interesting how a lot of this can be seen as a "damned if you do, and damed if you don't" type of situations. There are tons of threads on here about how employers always sugar coat things, never tell thing like it is, or beat around the bush etc. And here someone actually does it... and of course.. gets hammered. Not defending the action, but just drawing on the inconsistencies in terms of expectations.
This is similar to the gripes here about how fit/personality shouldn't matter, it should just be whether or not they can do the job. Or what people do on their own time is no business of the employer. Then on the other hand, someone gets fired or laid off - then its all how employers are not sensitive to the needs of the employee to make a living, feed themselves etc.
And yea, I understand the two side may not be raised by the same people. But there seems to be a lot of hypocritical view points out there.

This is why my policy is, as far as I can help it, to never discuss politics in the workplace. All it does is result it bad feelings and reduced cooperation. I don't tell my co-workers or managers how I plan to vote, and I really prefer that they don't tell me.
I didn't realize this guy is the same d-bag whose wife tried to build the largest house in the US. He stated he has enough money to finish the house, for the rest of his life, and the company is doing well.
Hopefully, all of the employees are looking for other jobs now.
David Siegel = part of the problem
Vote buying, income redistributing democrats = part of the problem
Illegal immigrants = part of the problem
Greedy corporations who hire illegals = part of the problem
Unions = part of the problem
People who take more from they system than they ever put in = part of the problem.
Get the picture? We need to radically change course or this country is toast.

Mine also. My company always tries to get us to join some PAC ~ where they tell you how to vote.
No thanks. I'll go pretty far to please my employer - but they DON'T get to tell me how to vote. And guess what? They will never know how/who I voted for.
I just delete those emails and move on.
