I am a few weeks from graduation now and i still dont have an offer from any companies, so am thinking of looking for CPA firms close to my place and calling them to ask if they have any internship positions available, is this a good idea and how effective will it be really? Thanks for you help in advance

They go through cOlleges for those. It will be hard, and you should just email your resume first and then call. It won't matter if you call because things like gpa matter the most.
