I am a first time manager and would like to get something for my employees. I am broke right now, so not looking to spend a lot. I have figured out a great gift for the girls, having trouble for the guys. Any ideas for around $30?

What about a gift card to the Alamo Drafthouse? Could be a great date idea if they have a significant other, or a nice night on the town if they are single.

Gift card or cash.
Cash works better.

Nice earbuds? Battery power bank/charger? Can't have too many of either. Extra ones for the car, etc.

Be careful...some gifts, even though your heart is in the right place, can be misconstrued. Someone could cry favoritism or attempts to influence their work. Hopefully your workplace isn't that volatile.

It might be better to buy the GROUP a catered delivered party lunch with veggie and non-veggie options. Of course there may be someone with that unknown life threatening allergy, but with some variety in finger food it may satisfy everyone. A social time away from the desk would please most folks.

Lol, I appreciate your concern, that is way over thinking this gift scenario. We work remotely so doing an appreciate party is not an option.

A gift certificate to a restaurant would probably be appreciated. I buy gender neutral gifts for my direct reports and everyone gets the same thing.

Plants, candles and books are pretty generic.
