throw a christmas party and invite them/family
shwoing appreciatation does not mean giving a gift

edit, not sure what you mean by you are "broke", those gifts add up... enough to cater some food

Again for those still tracking, we work remotely. My team is all over the country so no party or taking them out. I only have four so I figured $30 per person isn't too much, I can handle that.

This made me chuckle.

I'm on several remote teams. One is based in France, two in SoCal, and one here in Florida. I've been to the Florida headquarters just once to meet some of the people in person. I'd happily meet with the others if they wanted to buy me a ticket to L.A. or France!

Oh I'd make it completely optional but I think most would appreciate a free lunch from a nice restaurant. If they decline, then so be it.
