Since you're 75 why not just retire? You're already collecting SS. Do you have a pension, savings, investments, property you can sell to downsize?

This is not typically a scenario...the normal sequence is working and then disability
Yes unfortunately the administrators use a cold callous logic. People should understand past age 60 the mind and body are unreliable and apt to significantly break down. It can happen very suddenly. My Grandmother's Parkinson's worsened quite rapidly after she retired. And one year it sharply worsened again until she no longer understood much of anything about anything anymore.

The mind and/or body are fine, until they're not.

the bottom line is ssdi which is social security disability is actually social security retirement for those not of age yet ... in the op's case he is already getting social security retirement so he wont get ssdi anymore ..

he is trying to double dip from 2 different programs that are replacements for each other and in fact ssdi converts to ss retirement at your full retirement age.

you can't get paid twice as well as there is no such thing as ss disability once you reach fra .

There is no SSDI after FRMA. It would be the same amount, anyway. OP, were you trying to apply for federal social security or some type of private disability insurance?

It sounds like he was trying to get unemployment, keep collecting ss and then try to get disability when the unemployment ran out.

If I was a disability investigator that sure would raise my eyebrows for a look in to it

Response: Opinion

There are instance ( rare ) where a person suffers permanent partial disability or has a progressive disease but
still given the green light to go.
This could be the very reason for the unemployment. However a full 40 hours a week year after year
without sickness ......does raise questions if a sudden disability transpires right after unemployment runs out.
....but I am in no position to comment.....

Dig up all your ongoing medical bills.... that ran concurrent with your entire duration of employment/unemployment.

Best of Wishes.........................
