well, lawyers are often politicians as well or become politicians later. Real estate moguls as well.

how come Wall St. stock traders didn't make the list? You're gonna tell me you respect Jordan Belfort or "Gordon Geko?"

well, being black...and having talked to cops...and having sat down in criminal justice classes and listened to the rationale of their practices....I just hate cops...

I remember once I was stopped for speeding. I was driving my mom to surgery and we were late. I told the cop and he responded with "Well, if you hadn't been speeding, you would've been further along, now wouldn't you have?"....And he was like "look, I reduced the ticket by $20"....and seemingly expected gratitude, or something...

It's just that attitude that gets me. Anyone else talking to me like that would get a giant "shove off"...

I remember being lied to by a cop once after he told me "someone" had told him that someone "black with a black back pack" had done something or the other. Searched my bag and everything.

So, yeah...I don't like cops whatsoever.

Insurance and law are the only "professions" listed here.

Its certainly respective work to drive a bus, engage in telephone sales or sweep up as a janitor or a housekeeper- but labeling those occupations as "professions" just isn't accurate

Interesting that law and insurance are on here. Especially in accident claims, insurance companies don't take you seriously until you get a lawyer. Pawnbrokers, payday and car title loan lender should be on the list.

I attended law school, so I'd definitely say lawyer. Some of my fellow students and professors were extremely insufferable. I find the rest of the list to be respectable professions. Most of the people I know in the insurance business are good people. Telemarketers, while annoying, usually are just trying to make an honest living with modest pay, so I can't hate that. I have tons of respect for bus drivers, especially those in big cities who can operate it safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service to those who ride. I'd never be able to handle that kind of stress.

I admire janitors and housekeepers for keeping everything clean because I'm cleanliness challenged. I have considered trash collectors to be a cool profession ever since I was a kid. Big, strong men riding on the back of the garbage truck hoisting heavy garbage cans like it was nothing. Garbage people, of course, have new technology these days, but it's still a sweet gig to me.

that list is stupid. there's a difference between profession and occupation ("job"). My 10 year old nephew could come up with a more accurate list. Come on.....really......

No question in my mind -- insurance business.

And for those of you who picked bus driver, janitor, trash collector, or maid/housekeeper:

*salutes both middle fingers*
