LOL @ most of the TSA jobs going to minorities. What airports do you frequent, because I've yet to see that. Where should I apply? I see them (inc. women) working more for airlines and businesses inside the airport than the TSA.

Women are considered a minority in the workplace. Affirmative Action is what has been implied, and women are included in AA

Government = FAIL

The TSA is an out of control organization that will have far reaching effects on our privacy. It really is pretty scary, and the scariest part is the fact that they are inept. They won't let me take my nail clippers thru security yet there is a crash axe behind my seat. Not the brightest.
Is it safe to guess that you are a pilot? Crash Axe in the flight deck last I checked. You should be happy that the TSA wont allow your sharp nail clippers thru. A crazy maniac can use them as a weapon.

Answer:
Hopefully, you got the job .
Minority or being a white (Minority in your own eyes) is not a reason to get hired for The TSA.

Both me and my friend applied back in Feb 2012. I was called in Sept of 2012. Entire Process took about 7/8 Months. My friend has not been called yet.

However, I processed all required docs at lightning speed. I did not wait, I did everything asap. Remember people, you are not the only ones seeking employment.
