Well, for what it's worth..

World's Most Boring Cities to Visit
I haven't been but I'm wondering now how old Brussels is. Is there a lot of historic architecture/charm?

Houston does seem boring, but so do a lot of American cities.

I'm sure Zurich offers attractions, at least nearby.

And I disagree about Singapore. It's not as sterile as you think, and there's much more to do rather than shop or eat although the food is so good you'll probably want to be doing that most of the time anyway.

But not cities that have 6 million+ people in their total area, like Houston does.

From what I hear, Houston is about the most generic U.S. city there is. And you MUST have a car to get around there. Looks nice in pictures though.

That's true, of the top 5 or even top 10 city Houston or Phoenix is the most boring, with that other Texas city DFW not too far behind.

I'd say the dullest big city in Europe is probably Frankfurt.

Omaha isn't a major city, it's as provincial as all get out. (Spent 25 years there so I know.) It IS boring but it doesn't belong in this poll. I would think a place would at least have to have an international airport to be considered as a contender, otherwise you could go on for pages about all the boring mid-sized cities of the world.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Stuttgart, Germany
Singapore
Zurich, Switzerland
Abu Dhabi

I agree. That's why I don't suggest to people who visit the U.S. for the first time to go to those cities.

They are built around the car - which is not exciting to me. There are so many much better cities in this country.

Oh, I forgot about Frankfurt because it's just that boring. Frankfurt & Stuttgart are probably on a par but Frankfurt is more of a major city, so I guess it "wins."

People who never been there, base their rankings on Google maps and other people opinion???
It would be more accurate if we hear from people who physically visited those cities.
