I'd say United States but not as whole. Some regions and states, particularly in south increase average in unemployet and increase in poverty. All the responses above are biased. They list their favorite country by category of "best quality of life" rather than most dynamic economy. We still have a lot to improve but our economy has trendemously recovered from 2008-2009. Texas, California and New York has seen recently most job growths. Chicago slacks but there are still more new jobs this than in 2010.
I would say Australia, it is far from the economical problems and my Aussie friends say that there are plenty of work there. Sweden is in the EU that is not in the best moment and USA is undirectly afected too. No idea about Canada or Dubai.

i don't know, australia has a tremendous diversity of mineral resources.
There has to be huge demand for them though. If there isn't, you are left with a tiny domestic market located as far away from every other country as it could be. Australia should seriously diversify its economy.
The gulf countries (Qatar, KSA and UAE) do have strong economies, but the laws and rights there are probably the only hurdles that stops them from leading the world as top economies.
I am living in Saudi Arabia since almost 2 years, and let me tell you, if they fix some of the social issues and give more rights to foreign employees and investors. It is the best place to work.

Agree 100%. Also, There are major cities and states with bigger and better economies than some countries. But there are some regions that slow down our growth because their just starting to slowly recover from the recession.
There is no need for a poll. The United States will always win. But then again, it is an American site.
