Did I say the EU isn't diverse? Don't put words in my mouth. I live in the US, so of course I'm going to talk about my experience in the US. If I lived in the EU, I would talk about the EU. If you go back, I was directly replying to a specific post that said Americans just like big malls and stores, which is too general of a statement. Why would I talk about the EU in response to that?
With that being said, are there major cities in Spain, France, Germany, Italy that has neighborhoods with large houses, yards, 2-3 car garage, possibly a pool for $300k USD? This is a serious question because I really don't know.

Clearly nonsense. House prices in London are fairly similar to New York and San Francisco. Real estate is considerably cheaper outside of London - people starting families will move out of London, often in their 30s.

True. It is the same in a small city like Oslo, Norway. Move 50-60 minutes outside the capital and you can have a 200 m² house for the same price as a 65-70m² 2-room apartment in central Oslo.
It also makes very little sense having an outdoor pool in Northern Europe. The same goes for owning a convertible.

And you gotta clean all that stuff! Takes me less than an hour to clean my house top to bottom and all my stuff fits in just fine.
