It depends if I'm at home or working. From home the nearest salt wAter is perhaps 1/2 mile to a bay behind a barrier island. Probably about 4 miles or so across the bay and island to the Atlantic. If at work I'm literally on either the bay or the ocean.
From here to the Atlantic Ocean: ~260km (~162mi). Not exactly close.
