Say (no, this is not real) the US and UK bombed each other. Who do you think would win. British has the worlds highest trained troops...but US has destroyed Britian numerous times in the old days. Who do you think would win?
Never gonna happen, but of course the US could easily nuke Britain several times over before they could do anything. Isn't this a no-brainer? Even if it were the US vs Europe the US would trounce them.

Kind of a stupid comparison, look at the size difference. USA would obviously win, but at the same time there isn't a country in the world that can even compare to the defense/military of the United States.
You pick the two closest countries in the World, who are more closely linked militarily, by governments, and by societies, than any other pair for a versus? First so many things would have to break down, then it would be a terrible battle, ruling out nuclear weapons, aircraft carriers would give the US the advantage of taking the war straight to the UK, but the UK would probably put up quite a fight before they lost. I'm just glad the US and the UK are basically family, so we'll never have to worry about a British-American war.
Also a dozen nukes could effectively wipe out the population of the UK. The UK is a small densely populated island, the size of Washington. England, with 80% of the population, is half that size, the size of NYS with 50 million. The US has a vast area it would be pretty hard to get rid of 340 million people over 9 million square kilometres.
The US would win due to size and defense. But a war of the world versus the US in isolation, no allies, US would go down with the rest of the world at best, and be defeated at worst.
Never assume because a country is smaller than the US that that gives the US an advantage. The UK has claimed so much land back in the day. They were the boss of all bosses. Lest you all forget that they at one time controlled the US before the Revolutionary War. UK.As a side note US defense is the best but not the largest. I believe China or North Korea has the largest military
