I've never understood why people get so offended by it either. Just because we say "God bless America" doesn't mean that we're trying to preclude Him from blessing other countries.

Religion is a much more private and sensitive matter in Europe, and we easily get a bit uncomfortable if someone starts to wave religion at your face. We even had a debate a couple of years back about should the President be even allowed to say "God bless" at the end of his New Year's speech.

Its okay, just look at "God" as a little 3 letter word... no harm intended

Indeed, just 3 harmless letters, I'd read it backwards

It basically says that Chinese people have been verbally abusing this actor from Hong Kong because he agreed with the students' actions, and they demanded the producer of his movie to cut off all his scenes if he wanted the film to be released in China.

Another event, also took place rather recently. There was a little Chinese boy in Hong Kong with his parents and his mom let the boy poo on the street, then some miner conflicts happened.Again Chinese people started to badmouth Hong Kong, said stuffs like Hong Kongers are so full of themselves or you Hong Kong people'd better not have any kid etc.,as if pooing on the street is a right thing to do.

It's just two cases though, you can always disagree with me,but it's sort of a general belief in Taiwan that people in Mainland China can be very disrespectful and...childish.
"Minor conflict" you mean? People from Hong Kong are not known for being nice either. Look at the say they treat their maids. In terms of arrogance and snobbishness, I would say people from Hong Kong actually ranks above mainland Chinese and then Taiwanese. As a matter of fact, people from Hong Kong will probably top the chart in Asia for snobbishness.

The 'god bless America' line is a bit irritating in that it assumes a belief in god, is - albeit in a fairly innocuous way exclusivist - as if god also holds the notion of countries important, but most irritating is that it's trite.
