accidents occur. the swords are blunted for safety, great efforts are made to make it a safe and enjoyable sport.

Hi Bunky. Thank you for the picture again! Used to watch some of the old movies, Errol Flynn and Fairbanks and others and enjoyed the 'sword fighting' scenes. Must be fun to be able to do this. Do you train often? Is it an expensive sport and do you have different types of swords? Thank you.

A beautiful prayer:

May God who created you from love and for love
heal and bless you –
embracing you in the tenderest of mercies. May Jesus who died for you
lift the burden of pain from your heart –
and take it to himself
for he is gentle – and humble of heart
and desires rest for your soul.
May the Spirit of consolation deep within you
awaken anew
to comfort you and strengthen you;
to restore your trust
and renew your love.
And may you find peace in the love of the People of God
forgiving its brokenness
understanding its frailty
and trusting its deep desire to be reconciled with you
so that you, God’s precious son/ daughter
can once again find in the its midst
a people and a place that you can call home.

yes its fun (kind of, gota work at it), train often min 2x week, not horribly expensive travel maybe gets expensive, yes have different types as mentioned in my last post, epee, foil, saber, rapier. the trick is at 59 keeping up with 19 year olds. some fighting scenes in films are very fake (staged) some are good. a good one would be Rob Roy.
