Harry-My point wasn't whether TJ was a hypocrite, or not. The teacher expressed these "opinions" to 7 or 8 year old children. Kind of sophisticated material for that age group. They can't even define "hypocrite" at that age, let alone understand the concept. Might be better suited to jr high and high school age kids. The same teacher made the milk comment, also.
remember, if you will, that most on-camera talent have an iq around that of a summer squash. They don't read the copy ahead of time, for their most pressing question is: Does my hair look okay?
They can't even get their hair looking OK on our local news channels
Why should they be taught anything? Teleprompters take care of the need for anything resembling knowledge. The problems (and, of course, the accompanying hilarity) arise because a lot of people hired by news programs are there because they look nice, not because they have any brains.

I don't doubt that. Evidently, though, the people in front of the camera aren't intelligent enough to know the difference.
