Hello friends! My time on the computer was rather sporadic during the holiday season. I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year!

I finally came up with some stuff for one of my favorite threads.

Spot of Bother
-Winnie the Pooh

No guts, no glory

Nothing ventured, nothing gained

Pax Romana
and lavish ceremonies to close the gates of Janus.

Fontanelle is a nice word. Conjures up a fountain, a fountain of youth even! The reality of its anatomical meaning is a little icky, though. Sternum is even better. The breastbone, covering the heart. Scapula sounds menacing, and I've seen some skinny models in my time. Sacrum sounds sacred, or profane considering the "sac" part.

Oh, let me add a phrase that I find absolutely stunning (among many I have read in many books and novels). This is from Kakuzo Okakura's The Book of Tea: "Those who cannot feel the littleness of great things in themselves are apt to overlook the greatness of little things in others."
