I keep hearing "sammich" a lot lately. I just found out that it is in the "urban dictionary". What is this world coming to? ; )
I am seeing whoa spelled woah quite often.
About 30 years ago I was in a semi-urban area with the term Sammiches used on a menu.

It's worse, though, so much worse. She kept calling them "sammies" in a desperate attempt to coin a cute term. In fact, she seemed desperate to coin a new term every single time she was on TV. I put that in past tense because I pay no attention to her anymore. Is she still trying to make "Oh my gravy!" happen?
I've heard "sammich" as a joke for a while, but I think we can blame Rachel Ray for making it a thing.
Oh, interesting. I've heard it more often, both verbally and in print, and wasn't exactly sure what made it more common these days. I've occasionally used "sammich" online, it sounds a little more slang to me.
Heard on the Today Show fashion segment about a coat: "the hood attaches and disattaches".
