A school sent me a job application which had 2 spelling errors. I corrected the mistakes as I filled it out. I didn't get the job.
That is reminiscent of my experiences when applying to work as a supervisor for Sylvan Learning Centers.
This was after my retirement from a public school system, where I had been employed as a teacher, then a counselor, and then a supervisor over a period of 35 years. I held multiple certifications, as well as an M.A. and credits beyond my M.A.
The job was posted by Sylvan as being a supervisory position, and my qualifications were far in excess of the requirements, but I stated that I was willing to accept a fairly low salary, as I was already receiving retirement benefits. A week or so later, I was told to appear for an interview.
I guess that I shouldn't have been surprised that my interviewer was a young woman who had apparently just graduated from college, but I was surprised and appalled that she was so ill-prepared for the task of interviewing me. After a couple of minutes, it was obvious that she thought I was applying for the position of tutor and/or SAT prep instructor. While I was qualified for both of those positions, I wasn't really interested in either of them.
I was informed that someone much higher-up on the food chain would have to interview me for a supervisory position, and my interviewer seemed incredulous that I expected to be interviewed by her for a supervisory position. Clearly, I had appeared for that interview because I had been told to show up, and equally clear was that the administrative process at Sylvan must have been in severe disarray if nobody seemed to be aware of the position for which I was applying.
Anyway, to cut to the chase, my interviewer made some phone calls, and then informed me that someone else would contact me regarding an interview.
Since I am still waiting--7 years later--for someone from Sylvan to contact me, do you think that I should expect a phone call anytime soon?
Beware of schools that publish misspelled applications, and/or that have no clue as to how to go about the interviewing/hiring process!
On a huge mural on a building as you cross a bridge into downtown Portland is an ad that reads....
Making cars is what drives us.
WHAT DRIVES YOU
So what's wrong with it?
Anybody?
Anything glaring that jumps out at you?

Yup - what's missing is a four foot question mark. That's how big the ad is. I think it's for Audi or Volvo. Embarrassing.
You interpreted my statement as, "I may just have to stop eating their (pizza)", which--I suppose--is a valid interpretation, except that this is not what I meant when I stated, "I may just have to stop eating there".
"There", in this context, meant that I may have to stop eating at this restaurant.
I don't eat pizza, but I do like their Caesar Salad with Grilled Salmon.

But, that wouldn't make sense. Nothing possessive abouit no longer eating at a pizza place.
