No, actually they never should have played. They knew the forecast and kept both teams at the park for hours. The Rays could have been on their way to Colorado instead of dicking around in KC.
And by the way it's "could have" and "should have" . Learn the language and you won't look ignorant.

Last time I checked the words should, have, and of were all part of the English language. Next time say learn proper grammar, and you won't look ignorant.

Hmmm...Was that thread a discussion of, "Why English should be the official language of The US"?
I ask because, more often than not, I find that those who are complaining the loudest about the language skills of foreigners are themselves only semi-literate.
