I don't know. That could be an auto-correct error, although the poster left the apostrophe out of it's, too.

I went back and found the post and trust me, although the worst of the lot, it wasn't an auto-correct

Looky here... I found a three-in-one deal.

"That is called peace work and you wind up having quotas to meat or your fired."

"Meat" was actually used again the the next sentence.

In the genealogy section: a reference to ancestors from Eastern Europe living "out in the styx".

What a miracle: they managed to cross that river and come to America!

In the fashion-beauty thread, in regard to avoiding wrinkles: "...many rich just get facelifts or have good jeans."

Must be pretty tight jeans, to produce that effect!

I almost choked on that one!

** Oh noes, I made a mistake in my post above! I wrote the word "the" twice in a row.

I didn't see it, but a friend told me that her daughter recently received a note from a plumber she'd called to correct a problem - in which "water" was misspelled. She's having the note framed.

Of course, I myself got a letter a week or so ago from a going-out-of-business antiques mall manager who spelled "merchandise" as "merchendise".

Twice.

No wonder the mall went out of business.
