Not too long ago, I had a college student ask me why Microsoft Word was putting red and green lines all through her composition. She really didn't know.

I've a new one to add. I just read where a mother is happy regarding her child's improved tension span.

I finally mentioned it to the airport manager. He rolled his eyes and shook his head, but the sign wasn't changed.

And then there was the huge billboard along I-90 just outside Mitchell, SD for a local mechanic. In giant letters so nobody could miss it: TOE SERVICE. I worked in Mitchell for about 6 months and met the owner of the shop. I mentioned the sign and the spelling of T-O-E. He just looked at me like I was nuts. *shrugs*
HA! I know the TOE sign on I-90. I thought it was intentional, as advertisement. You mean its knot?

I just came back from a pizza place. They have a big sign hanging from the ceiling that says, "Hot Italian Hero's". They didn't say the hero's WHAT, but I figured they were being polite since children might go in there. I glanced around at the young men working the ovens, but they seemed to be mostly Mexicans, so I figured the Hot Italian Hero was already engaged for lunch hour. I satisfied myself with a sausage slice to take back to my desk.

Did you ask them if the sausage slice had any relation to the hero?

So that noise I thought I heard was you screaming! (I wonder if that person has figured out what to do, by this time?)
