This exchange took place in a forum topic about license plates:

"Don't really care to be truthful, a plates a plate !!"

"You'd rather lie?"

"In the isle seat of the plane."

"That's rediculous."

"It didn't phase her."

"I would of seen it."

That's about enough of the internet today, I'm thinking. I saw these infractions all within five minutes of one another and now my head hurts and I want to bite someone.

This phrase is on MSN this afternoon.

"Mom falsely told daughter died"

I know there is a limitation on space, but this adverb is in a bad position. I would have used "mistakenly" to describe that situation.

Somewhat related to the first gaffe, I was a bit mischievous many years ago when a few people asked me where I had gone on vacation. To the folks who were both nosy and a bit dense, I responded, "To the Islands of Langerhans!"
And--guess what? Everyone one of them murmured their approval of my vacation destination!

But, to return to the possibility of biting somebody as a result of having to endure the pain of those internet mistakes, I can tell you that if I was on a jury, I would find you "not guilty"!

HA! YOU are my friend as of this minute.

I'm planning on vacationing on the Pancreas Peninsula.

I haven't bitten anyone yet, but the day is still young. Watch for me on CNN. They'll have my name misspelled in the headlines.

DirtGrinder is correct. I'm from Chicago, but the speakers of that word have always been from down South or close to someone who was from down South (e.g. a child with a grandparent from the South).
