This type of thread really isn't my thing, though. I guess it doesn't matter so much to me if someone commits a grammatical faux pas or makes a typo -- unless they're doing so in the course of trying to correct someone else. I've noticed that quite a lot in this forum.

Nice bunch here.

Nah, I was merely answering a post that was directed at me that was pretty much off-topic in its own right. Not that it matters; thread drift happens. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure this forum isn't the place to attempt a discussion on what constitutes successful blogging. If you're interested, there are plenty of professional writing forums where you could get some excellent advice.

A thread title: "Swallow foot after 2 months sprained ankle"

Hmm, is this yummy for a foot fetish or just plain old foot in the mouth syndrome?

You'll often find me hopping or sitting as I usually have at least one foot in my mouth .

Rubi3 mentioned this one up thread a few pages. I think it was meant to be swollen foot, possibly from someone for whom English is a second language.

Yes, and I said I'd considered that, but posted it anyway; however, those were not my exact words. I don't think it really matters if English is the second language. In some instances even if a poster doesn't have a second language, they make the same errors as someone who does.

Oh, no... I'm not interested is participating in such a thread. Nothing I said is indicative of such a goal. I am well aware this isn't the place for what has been going on. You are the one who apparently wants to give advice. I only hoped to steer you elsewhere. It was merely a ploy. A mod recently instructed us to remain on topic. I realize it's a mistake to even respond.

The following was posted in the NJ Forum, although the person who composed this sentence apparently lives in Georgia:

"So your want'ed him to pay some of the 10Cents a hour he was getting in the jail?"

"Carnits.....linguia tacos......chili renos....quacamole....chips....salsa.....margarita s"

When in doubt about an apostrophe on the margaritas, just put a blank there

Whoa! You've got serious gastronomic problemas before you ever get to the apostrophe, 'mano. Try:

"Carnitas.....tacos de lengua ......chiles rellenos....guacamole....chips....salsa.....margaritas"

Y ¡Provecho! There, isn't that so much better?
