There is no doubt that that played a role, I just wonder how it got past the guys doing the glass work.
The days of truly professional sign makers seem to be over, for the most part.
For example, nowadays it seems that most of the signs on trucks owned by masons state that the company does "Masonary" work.
It bugs me when people in some fora begin a post with "So," followed by their story. I've noticed a lot of people irl say that at the beginning of a story as well. How the heck did that get started?
Mea culpa. One of my pet peeves is when someone is asked a question like, "Where do you work?" and they answer, "I actually work at blah blah."
You can add "basically" to the list of pet peeves as far as I am concerned.
It seems that many people can't respond to a question without inserting both the word "well" and the word "basically" before the substantive part of their response.

I find that most people use that...redundant...addition when referring to a time in the wee hours of the morning, such as, "It happened at 2:00 AM in the morning".

The "I know, right?" is the one that makes me want to barf. It's not just the phrase itself, but also the person I heard saying it first. I really could not stand her, even before she said that. Every time I hear that I think of her.
