I've seen that one. I also saw "midas well", but only once.

I was just in a chat for the Red-tail hawks and saw "whose this?" instead of "who's this?".

Heard a politician being interviewed on the radio today. What he said was, "...that's when we crossed the paragon." He said it twice otherwise I would think I misheard.

Hmmm.

From the context of what he was saying, I assume he meant "crossed the Rubicon."

But, who knows? Maybe he did mean they crossed a perfect example...

What makes it even sadder is that he said he was a communications major in college.

Maybe he meant a pair of dimes.

On The Weather Channel's website, I saw this in an article: "...city's that are scorching hot..." or something similar. Double error!

Literacy is dead.

Literacy is dead.

There seems to be a veritable plague of these errors. One sees them everywhere. Especially with the confusion between plural and possessive usage.

It's quite disheartening, altogether.

^^^ I continue to be amazed and appalled at the epidemic of using apostrophes for plurals. It seems to have exploded over the past few years.

I told a friend about this thread, and today she emailed me one she sees on craigslist a lot in the real estate section: "rod iron".
