With the California chain In N Out expanding, is there a possibility it will be opening in Cheyenne or Casper? There's plans to open at least 25-50 in the neighboring state to the south, and with its distribution center being built to serve a diameter of 500 miles.

If Fort Collins gets a distribution center then I wouldn't be surprised. I think Colorado is expected to open 50 locations over the coming years.

I have seen reports the Colorado Springs location will be open in late November (and Colorado Springs is getting the distribution center too).

Cheyenne is 2hrs for me - I'm not driving 2hrs for a burger.

You shouldn't have to drive 2 hrs for a burger. If the company marketed in the right places of Wyoming, they'd construct a few along I-25 in Wheatland, Douglas and Buffalo.

It takes a LOT of CA transplants to keep an 'In-N-Out' alive.

Do you have enough of them in WY?

(There is nothing special about their burgers, or fries)
WY residents might not be as interested in flocking to a Drive-thru, as your typical 'greenie' resident (who is likely from CA).

As a Nebraskan native and an exception to the rule, In N Out is great and I prefer them over a lot of major burger chains for their no-frills menu, fresh ingredients and retro 1950s style. I think they have a chance in WY and possibly Scottbluff.

Personally, I don't want them in Casper, but it's not out of a dislike of the place. I rather like what they do. I stop by for a special treat when in SLC or further west.

I like their burgers well enough--but a competent home cook can do better outdoors with charcoal with minimal effort. And maybe use game meat if everything lines up right. I like their fries a lot, but it's not really something I should eat lots of. Mostly, I don't want it to be something with daily exposure. That's the beauty of Wyoming. Things specific to other places aren't here. We have our own specific thing going on.

As for StealthRabbit's question: I think there are enough former California residents here. There's probably enough former California residents everywhere.

I too grew up on Dorothy Lynch Dressing, Runza's, Reubens,, Cheese Frenchees, and Koolaid ...

But my tastes are not to the liking of I-N-O (nor anyone I know). Freddy's, (near Costco in FC) tad better, but still 'chain-food-for-an-inflated-price' (I'll feed off 'local grub / businesses', while in WY)

Now... I would take a Rubio's! (Fish Taco Tuesday), but don't think they would fly in WY either. There are a few in CO, but I haven't seen them any too busy.
