We are moving to Indian Land next wk from South Charlotte. If you live in the area, what has been your experience with Verizon? The few x I have been in the house, my cell phone (Verizon) and iPad (LTE) have not worked very well. I had to walk out to the front porch to hear a phone call. We haven't had a landline for awhile and not crazy about having to get one again. Thank you
We just moved to Indian Land in June and have Verizon wireless service. The reception is fine 80 to 85% of the time. There are a few dead spots in my house where I consistently drop calls. As long as I remember to avoid those locations then I have no trouble. Yes, it's a little irritating but not enough to make me choose to switch carriers. Btw - I live in Bridgemill if that helps.
We have Verizon service here in Fort Mill and have a problem in our neighborhood and in our house. If you work through the Verizon customer service dept and get them to document a poor signal in your home, (they have to send someone out) they will reduce the cost of their network extender device. We did this, and while it was still a little pricey, it made such a difference in the quality of the signal inside our house.
This isn't a direct answer to your question, but just FYI - I have AT&T and almost never lose signal. I live in Fort Mill and sell real estate all around Indian Land, Lancaster, Rock Hill and all over greater Charlotte, and the only place that I lose signal is in Chester. I have friends that have Verizon and often have problems around Springfield, and parts of Indian Land.
There's a cool website 3G and 4G LTE Cell Coverage Map - OpenSignal that shows the different companies and their coverage. It shows Verizon as the highest in Indian Land and AT&T 2nd. (I guess it's just my very attractive personality)
Thx. I have contacted Verizon and they will send someone out to check reception. Also told me they would provide a network extender free of charge if need be. She did tell me my address was "in a pocket" so she wasn't surprised the service was bad. Moving to Bridgemill too. Guess we will have to wait and see.
We have just moved to Indian Land too and we do have issues using Verizon....reception completely drops off in certain areas of the house but is fine in other areas. We are in Bridgemill too.
