I don't know which forum to post this in . . . so I did both.

I am looking to buy in Firethorne but half of the subdivision is in Marvin and half of it is in Fort Mill. Does anyone live there and can tell me the specifics of this?

The MLS sheet for a home that is in the SC side says to consult the school district because the school assignment might change . . The part that's in SC say the schools are IndianLand . .

I would appreciate any advice or direction . . thanks again . .

Hi Svross,

We also looked in Firethorne and it's very similar to Bridgehampton - part of the neighborhood is considered NC (Union County) and part is SC (Lancaster County). The SC side attends Indian Land schools. I don't believe the SC side of the neighborhood is up for redistricting, so I'm not sure re school assignments. We never were serious enough about buying in there to research that issue, but I'd recommend talking to a realtor who knows about it. There are several helpful ones on this board, maybe they'll chime in? I hope that helped a little and I didn't confuse the issue more!
