Description: In operation since 1956, this private coeducational school known officially as the Abbie Loveland Tuller School, uses the Tuller Method, a “correlated pattern system devised to give all students the opportunity to achieve their highest potential.” Very small classes from kindergarten to 8th grade make this an intimate school experience. Description: The Sonoran Science Academy (SSA) schools are tuition-free public college-preparatory charter schools that emphasize science, math, and computer technology. The numerous extracurricular academic clubs include robotics, anime, chess, and drama. PE, art, and music are part of the rigorous curriculum, and free tutoring is offered to students in all subjects. Class sizes are around 20. Their other schools include Broadway Campus (K–8) at 6880 E. Broadway Blvd. (520-751-2401) and Davis-Monthan Campus (6–10) at 5741 E. Ironwood St. (520-300-5699). At the Davis-Monthan location, only grades 6 through 9 are tuition-free.
