Description: Sol y Lago (which means “sun and lake” in English), specializes in Sierra Latino Cuisine and opened in response to the growing Hispanic influence in the Reno/Tahoe area. This restaurant is tucked in the back of the Boatworks Mall and offers great views of the lake. The menu showcases foods from Spain, Argentina, Chile, and the Basque country, including cassoulet Basque, butternut squash and queso fresco empanaditas, and churrascaria-style pork loin chop. Not only is the food a cosmopolitan delight, the old-world service makes dining here an especially enjoyable experience. The 30-seat bar offers perfect viewing for sunset over the lake while you enjoy a Latin cocktail or wine. Patio dining is available during summer, and live entertainment is offered on the weekends. Sol y Lago is open daily for dinner during high season and closed Monday during off season.
