Description: There are three Y facilities in Boulder County, offering everything from an indoor running track to an outdoor swimming pool to the county’s only public indoor ice-skating rink. The main facility is in Boulder at 2850 Mapleton Avenue. It offers a full range of facilities and classes, including racquetball/handball courts; a 25-yard indoor pool; a full gym; indoor running track; Jacuzzi, Cybex, Nautilus, and Hydrogym equipment; an aerobics studio; a picnic area and playground; a nursery and child-care facility; and single-sex saunas. Admission for nonmembers is $12 for teens and adults; $6 for kids younger than age 18. Adult membership is $50 to join and $47 per month; family membership is $50 to join and $71 per month.The Arapahoe Center is a 55,000-square-foot facility located near the intersection of 95th Street and Arapahoe Avenue. This Y includes a full gymnasium, locker rooms, an indoor track, free weights, an in-line skating rink, aerobic space, and the only public indoor ice arena in Boulder County. All new Techno-Gym fitness equipment will be arriving in December 2008 as well as a kinesis studio and a mind, body, spirit studio (yoga and pilates) with a brand new, state of the art “reverberating floor” (first in Colorado!).
