Description: Connected with the CU-based Rocky Mountain Film Center (RMFC), this series is the West’s longest-running continuous forum for international and art-film screenings and has entertained university and Boulder audiences for more than 50 years. The First Person Cinema is affiliated with the RMFC and features visiting artists throughout the academic year. It includes avant-garde works by independent and personal filmmakers such as Stan Brakhage, Fred Worden, and Caroline Leaf, as well as wonderful, entertaining films from all over the world that aren’t available in mall theaters or video stores. The spacious, steeply sloping Muenzinger Auditorium offers every moviegoer a perfect view for the right price—$5 ($4 for CU students). The 24-hour hotline above lists each week’s events.
