Description: Located on the well-manicured grounds of the historic Biltmore Hotel, this par 71, public course was designed in 1925 by Donald Ross, a premier golf course designer of that era, and restored in 2007 by architect Brian Silva. Everyone from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods to President Bill Clinton has played on Biltmore’s greens. Verdant landscaping surrounds the 6,800-yard, 18-hole course, which is filled with bunkers and recently added Bermuda grass. Tee times can be booked online or by calling the course. The rate for visitors with golf cart is $99 on weekends, $79 on weekdays. Green fees alone are $72 on weekends, $52 weekdays. Residents of Dade County and Coral Gables receive discounted rates. The course also has a driving range and putting area. The hotel offers private instruction for those who want to improve their swing, refit their equipment, or strengthen their stamina. A 1-hour lesson costs $100. Discounted packages are available.
