Description: Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber has been around since 1948 and is a Golden Spoon Hall of Famer. You’ll find classic menu items like the Back-to-the-Farm Chicken Dinner, sautéed fresh chicken livers, jumbo Gulf shrimp—try these bronzed—lamb chops, prime rib, and steak. Not just any old steaks from the grocery store, either. The Beachcomber selects theirs from a particular region and has them privately dry aged for maximum flavor control. Appetizers are decidedly on the seafood side—it is the Beachcomber, after all—and there’s a full bar. Bobby’s Bistro puts a next-generation spin on the décor, the dining, and the wine list (allow extra time just to read it!). This menu features gourmet pizzas, a sandwich board, and salads. Heartier appetites aren’t forgotten, however. You’ll also find char-grilled steak, lamb chops, salmon, and ribs, each with carefully crafted touches that make for a memorable meal. Both Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber and Bobby’s Bistro and Wine Bar are open every day of the year. At the Beachcomber, lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner is served from 4 p.m. until whenever. Bobby’s Bistro opens at 5 p.m. each day and also is open until they decide to close.
