Description: Café Alma can’t quite decide if it’s European with a Middle Eastern streak or vice versa. Which is fine by us because that means we get to enjoy the best of both worlds. Tapas, for instance, may strictly speaking be of Spanish origin, but you’ll find Curried Chicken Thighs, smoked Norwegian salmon, and a Hummus Platter along with Pineapple Citrus Ceviche, Pulled Duck Quesadillas, and other appetizers on the menu. Menus change according to the seasons, but entrées might include Pan Roasted Pork Tenderloin or Wild Mushroom and Grilled Vegetable Risotto. Café Alma features an extensive wine, beer, and ale list, but you’ll also find a nice selection of after-dinner liqueurs and coffees. Café Alma serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and serves soups, salads, and desserts from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dinner is served at Café Alma from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday, and from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday. A very reasonably priced prix fixe dinner menu is available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday morning, Café Alma offers a brunch menu—omelettes, Benedicts, pancakes, soups, salads, and a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar—from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are suggested—Café Alma sometimes is rented for corporate and other private parties.
