Quaker Steak and Lube - Restaurants - Tampa Bay, Florida

City: Tampa Bay, FL
Category: Restaurants

Description: This looks like an old-fashioned gas station, and, when Quaker Steak and Lube first opened, we weren’t sure whether we should bring our car in for an oil change or come for dinner. Now it’s one of our favorite places to bring visitors for wings, burgers, and more, as much for the atmosphere as for the food. Racing fans, little kids, and anyone who appreciates themed décor will feast their eyes on vintage cars and motorbikes, rescued from the scrap yard and hung from every imaginable surface, while waiting for the order of piping hot onion rings served on an antenna with dipping sauces on the side. Try the wings, served with one of the largest arrays of sauces in the area, or go for the ribs. Both seem taste-accelerated when eaten under a classic car in the middle of a service bay or next to a collection of license plates from around the country. The food is good and the décor is fun. Quaker Steak and Lube has a full bar and there is often music on the patio. Wednesday night is bike (as in motorcycle) night and Saturday night is truck night. Check the online calendar for other events and promotions.
