Description: Situated on the campus of Towson University, the Burkshire Marriott’s 137 guest apartments were built as retirement condominiums. They’re great for a family visit, particularly if you have a student who is visiting Towson. In 2009, they completed renovations on 85 units with new carpeting, kitchens, bathrooms, and high-tech amenities, so you should request one of them. Should you not care to mess up their kitchen, local restaurants will deliver. Each apartment comes with its own washer and dryer. There are one-, two-, and three-bedroom units available. There is an on-site fitness room, but all guests of the Burkshire Marriott have access at no additional charge to the sports facilities at Towson University, which includes racquetball, tennis, and wallyball courts. Long-term parking is hard to find in Towson, so the hotel’s free underground parking lot is an added bonus. Discounts off already low prices are available for people who have business with the university.
