Description: Cossetta’s is one of the busiest lunch spots in St. Paul. It draws throngs of patrons because of the fine pizzas and pastas prepared for eating in or takeout. The delicious chewy thick crust of Cossetta’s Chicago-style pizza is topped with a piquant marinara sauce, tasty mozzarella, and fresh ingredients. Huge pieces of pizza are ready to eat at the counter. Another counter offers lasagna, sausage and peppers, chicken marsala, sausage calabrase, chicken cacciatore, and more a la carte items. Ample seating is provided on two floors, where recordings by Italian-American singers such as Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra are played over the sound system. A wine list is available. Michael and Irene Cossetta opened the adjoining market in 1911, where the now-sprawling market and restaurant began. Today Cossetta’s does booming business for lunch and dinner daily.
