Mac’s specializes in haddock fillets, and the lightly breaded, deep-fried fish pieces seem as light as clouds and taste otherworldly. You can get the best deal if you buy a basket, which includes haddock, shrimp, chicken strips, or a combination thereof, along with fries, coleslaw, bread, and a beverage. You can also buy the haddock fillets and shrimp by the piece, chicken strips in six-strip servings, half and full orders of fries, and plenty of slaw, allowing you to customize the size of your meal. Mac’s harbors a few tables in its dining room, but it is best to call ahead and pick up your order, heading back to your hotel or home with a basket or two of fish and chips for a low-key, inexpensive, filling feast.
