Description: April through November, dockage costs $1.25 per foot (except if you are over 62 years old—then the rate is half price) plus $3 a day for 110-volt electricity hookups, or $5 a day for 220-volt connections. The rest of the year, the cost is 40 cents per foot, while the electric hookups stay the same price. There’s a two-week limit on summer stays, and dock space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. No water is available in the winter season. If no ranger is on-site when you arrive, pay at the visitor center across the street.

Description: This 650-foot ocean pier was originally built in 1959 and rebuilt in 1962 after the Ash Wednesday storm. Owner Garry Oliver has all you need in the bait and tackle shop for a day of fishing along this stretch of beach. A 300-foot sound fishing and crabbing pier is also available on the Nags Head–Manteo Causeway. The piers are open 24 hours a day from Memorial Day until mid-October and close from Thanksgiving through Easter. Call for rates. Snack at the pier’s on-site oceanside deli.
