Description: The Böttger Mansion was built in 1910, and the property’s history goes back to the Conquistadors. Just a 250-foot stroll from Old Town Plaza, the fine western Victorian house has eight guest rooms with twin, queen, and king beds and a two-bedroom suite. Rooms are named for historical family members, and have private bathrooms, cable TV, phone, and wireless Internet access. Each is individually decorated with Victorian-style detail. The Stephanie Lynn room has a mahogany four-poster canopy queen bed, antique claw-foot tub, and chandelier, and the king-bed Rebecca Leah room has a Jacuzzi bathtub. A typical breakfast starts with a fresh-fruit course, plus an entrée such as Southwest crustless quiche, blueberry-stuffed French toast, or omelette with green chile, plus breakfast meats and such treats as cinnamon scones. Tea is always available, along with snacks in the afternoons. Guests can relax in the parlor or in the floral courtyard under century-old elms. Innkeepers are Steve and Kathy Hiatt, and children 10 and over are welcome. This property is not wheelchair accessible.
