Description: A sunny, city-smart restaurant with a big wine leaning, Savoy is the sibling restaurant to Nob Hill’s Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro and Seasons Rotisserie & Grill in Old Town. The dining room has an upscale, contemporary California feel, and the very fine food follows the same direction, focusing on fresh organic produce, much of it sourced locally. Check out the lamb and steaks from the wood-fired oven, and though menus change four times a year, the herb-roasted prime rib and the filet mignon with sour cream mashed potatoes and black truffle butter are constants. Cedar Plank Salmon and Ravioli with New Mexican Goat Cheese are also favorites. There’s a full bar and a comprehensive wine list, including the family’s own-label Roessler wines from California, and Savoy hosts wine-tasting events. The chic patio with fire pits is a big draw, especially at happy hour; a patio lounge menu offers lighter snacks and appetizers, and you can order oysters individually. Restaurant reservations are recommended on the weekend. Open daily for dinner; lunch is served on weekdays only. The patio bar and lounge opens at 3 every day.
