Description: With 308 rooms available, this is one of the largest hotels in the area. Located only 4.5 miles south of Gettysburg on U.S. Business Route 15, the Eisenhower Inn is next door to and associated with the All-Star Events Complex (see the Attractions and Kidstuff chapters), which has tons of recreational choices for you and the kids, such as go-karts, minigolf, fishing, and tennis, just to name a few. The Eisenhower actually consists of two connected buildings. The Eisenhower I is the original facility, and the Eisenhower II is the addition. All rooms in the Eisenhower II are nonsmoking, and all but five rooms in the Eisenhower I are also nonsmoking. The standard rooms offer double beds, and there are some rooms with one king-size bed. Queen leisure rooms are all located in the Eisenhower II and include two queen-size beds and a sleeper sofa; executive rooms are also equipped with microwave and minifridge, as are the presidential suites, which also have a living room and bedroom. More than 100 rooms come with a microwave and minifridge for your convenience. In addition to the expected amenities, such as in-room coffeemakers, hair dryers, and irons and ironing boards, you’ll also enjoy an indoor/outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi, a guest laundry, dry saunas, an exercise room, and Internet access. The pool area, with its open sky dome and cabana seating area, is an especially inviting place for relaxation. When hunger hits, choose from the on-site deli, called the Marketplace, or Richard’s Restaurant and Lounge, which has a French Country motif and seats 120.
