Description: The goal of this skilled nursing home located on the western outskirts of town is to provide personalized quality health care in a homelike environment. Short- or long-term care is available at the 102-bed facility, and patients may be admitted on weekends. Rehabilitative services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Though most residents require only general nursing services, complex medical services such as wound care and IV therapy are available. Golden LivingCenter also has an entire wing designed especially to address the needs of Alzheimer’s patients. The nursing staff working on this unit must undergo continuing education specifically for Alzheimer’s disease care. Recreational activities are available to residents, and respite care can be arranged. Golden LivingCenter–Gettysburg accepts payment for its services from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay.
