Description: This place is really touristy, but it’s also really fun. It has more than 40 boutique shops selling everything from punched tin lighting to clothespin dolls, music boxes to pet paraphernalia. They’ve been “putting up” jams, jellies, and relishes like farm families do for more than 50 years. You’ll find more than 70 original recipes for old-time regional specialties, including chowchow, apple butter, poppy seed dressing, and peanut butter schmier (like nut fudge with a hint of brown sugar), as well as an array of new-fangled nibbles, including Vidalia onion relish, zesty salsa, and jalapeño jam.
