Description: This place is a Pawleys Island tradition. Sea View’s 20 rooms overlook the ocean and the salt marshes of the inlet. As bed-and-breakfast inns go, this is among the most rustic. For more than 65 years, families have dined on authentic Lowcountry cuisine and have relaxed in the privacy of the traditional wraparound porch. This is the ideal vacation destination for anyone who wants to get away from it all and have it all at the same time. Owners Brian and Sassy Henry took over operation in 2002 and have continued the Sea View’s reputation for friendliness and pride in its natural setting. During the spring and fall months, the Sea View offers special events with a myriad of themes, including weeklong artist workshops, spa weeks, nature and historical retreats, and even a “girl’s getaway.”In addition to your swimsuit, shorts, and T-shirts, the other things you’ll need are a good book and a fishing pole. Your stay includes three meals daily. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday reservations are required. During other times of the year, a two-night minimum stay is required. Smoking is not permitted. No credit cards are accepted.
