Description: Forest service ranger district offices are open Mon through Fri year-round and are excellent places to get maps, brochures, information, and directions. They also sell Christmas tree- and firewood-cutting permits. Check outdoor racks for maps and brochures if the doors are locked. This indoor complex receives heavy use by hockey leagues in winter, but there are plenty of opportunities for public skating, too—just call ahead. Times are set aside for public hockey and curling. If you’re interested in either sport, call the arena for more information. If public skating isn’t available, you can always come in to watch the leagues play or the figure skaters practice. Getting out on the ice for a day will cost $4.75 for adults and $3.75 for children 18 and under. Skate rentals are available for $3.25.
