Description: Living or staying near The Woodlands? There’s no need to drive all the way into town to visit The Ice at Discovery Green. You can have just as much fun at the Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center, which is open from mid-November to mid-January. Much like the Ice at Discovery Green, the Ice Rink has a separate rink for kids 5 and younger. Admission is $9.50 on weekdays and $10.50 on weekends. Admission is $5 on weekdays and $6 on weekends for kids 5 and younger. Skate rental is included.

Description: Ice Skate USA joined Houston’s ice skating scene in 2003 when it was added as part of Memorial City Mall’s remodeling. To ensure your kids actually get to skate here, though, you have to plan your trip just right. The public skating schedule varies by month and season; during the year, the rink doesn’t stay open for public skating past 4 or 5 p.m., except on Friday evenings. When the rink isn’t open for public skating, it’s typically used for classes for beginners, aspiring figure skaters, and ice-hockey players.
